Greenhead Lobster is a family-owned seafood company known for producing premium lobster and shellfish products for global markets. As part of our continued growth, we have expanded into aquaculture and are building a dynamic shellfish farming operation. This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role in shaping and growing that division.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead our shellfish aquaculture operations. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of a developing farm program—managing daily operations, improving systems, and building a strong team.

Company’s Management Team
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage oyster seed upweller and nursery systems; coordinate daily farm work including seed handling, cage/bag flipping, tumbling, and overwintering
• Oversee harvest, order fulfillment, and product handling while ensuring safe, legal practices and site cleanliness
• Lead operations across two farm sites in Stonington and a shellfish facility in Hancock
• Maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and track production performance
• Supervise staff, promote a safe work environment, and train team members in best practices
Requirements:
• Experience in aquaculture (required)
• Strong on-the-water experience (required)
• Seafood HACCP experience (required)
• Leadership and team management experience (required)
• Processing/manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions and perform physical tasks
