Part-Time Seasonal, 24-30hrs May-December 2026 (Possibility to increase hours or extend season through the winter for the right candidate!)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a consistent, dependable, and independent individual to join our team as a
Delivery Driver. This role requires mainly packing orders and driving to deliver them as well as
some occasional farm work responsibilities. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately
fulfilling orders and safely ensuring timely and accurate delivery of product to customers. The
ideal candidate will be comfortable performing customer-facing delivery tasks independently,
while also willing to work in a dynamic, hands-on team environment in our packing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Driver Duties:
● Assist in order fulfillment under the direction of the Operations Manager by packing
and labeling boxes/pallets.
● Ensure orders are processed correctly with accurate information for every customer
and communicate any discrepancies to Operations Manager for correction.
● Safely transport oysters from the farm to various clients, including restaurants, seafood
wholesalers, and other customers.
● Ensure timely, accurate, and safe deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
● Handle all loading and unloading of oysters, ensuring they are transported properly to
maintain product quality.
● Ensure compliance with all safety regulations regarding receiving temperature and
handling of oysters; seasonally this will include the task of icing down oysters and
moving ice into a cooler in the delivery vehicle.
● Maintain a clean and organized environment, in the delivery vehicle as well as our farm
workspace.
● Keep delivery vehicles in good working condition by filling necessary fluids, keeping up
fuel levels, performing routine vehicle inspections, and promptly reporting any issues or
out-of-the-ordinary occurrences to Operations Manager.
● Coordinate with harvesters and dealers from other oyster farms to prepare pickups based
on orders.
● Uphold rapport with customers during deliveries.
● Monitor traffic and weather conditions to determine the best routes and adjust delivery
schedules as needed.
● Keep accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and other required
documentation. Must ensure all records which demonstrate safety compliance are filed
in the proper location with relevant information such as date, time, and temperature.
● Collect payment from customers and reliably bring checks to designated location.
● Communicate with Operations Manager regarding any delays, issues, or unforeseen
circumstances. Must be reachable and reliably give information to Operations Manager
such as location and ETA.
● Communicate with both Sales Director and customers to problem solve and troubleshoot
issues that may arise.
● Occasionally assist with aspects of oyster farming, which includes sorting, cleaning, and
packaging oysters.


Skills & Qualifications:
1. Driver's License: Clean driving record and a driver's license are required.
2. Experience: Prior experience with farm work, delivery driving, or working in an
agricultural or maritime environment is preferred, but not required.
3. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) outdoors in various weather
conditions.
4. Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with
customers and the team.
5. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully and keep track of delivery
orders and farm activities.
6. Preparation: Ideal candidate comes to work prepared for the day with all necessary items
and equipment including phone, food/water, and foul weather gear.
7. Safety-Oriented: Knowledge of safe driving practices, workplace safety protocols, and
food safety standards.
8. Flexibility: Able to work in varying environments and demonstrate resiliency to changing
conditions day-to-day and long term as the needs of the business grow and change.

Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, working on a farm and
in a delivery vehicle.
Physical Demands: This role involves manual labor, including lifting, bending, and
standing for long periods.
Hours: Delivery days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with possibility for
Wednesday work if needed. Farming and other miscellaneous activities possible on
Monday/Tuesday afternoons. Start time is 6am through the summer, 6:30am in winter,
and days typically finish between 2-3pm. Flexibility required for delivery days, or
occasional weeks working 41-45hrs based on delivery schedules and farm needs.


Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Benefits may include employee discount at our farm store, paid breaks, paid time off,
insurance, and 401K matching depending on employment status.
$17-$21 an hour
