Hours: 5 days a week ideally Wednesday- Sunday (negotiable) About 30 hours/week

About Us:
Maine Oyster Company started growing the Cape Small oyster in 2016. We have loved seeing our farm grow and enjoy sharing our farm with others to grow the oyster community! We are looking for someone to guide our guests on an unforgettable experience to our oyster farm. Maine Oyster Company provides tours on a 24’ Carolina skiff. You will help people explore, learn, and taste the magic behind our oysters.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Captain the Boat: Safely navigate guests to our oyster farm with your ensuring everyone has a smooth ride and fun along the way.
- Lead Oyster Tours: Share your knowledge of the oyster farming process with guests while enjoying the beautiful coastal views.
- Teach the Art of Shucking: Give our visitors a hands-on lesson in the fine art of shucking oysters, so they can enjoy the fruits of your labor (and ours!).
What We’re Looking For:
- License: You need to have a valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain's license.
Attitude: A love for Maine aquaculture, adventure, and fun! - Oyster Enthusiast: You should be excited to talk about oysters, farming, and why Maine’s oysters are the best.
- Team Spirit: You’ll be part of a friendly, laid-back crew who loves to work hard and have fun.
