Retail Sales & Partner Growth Representative

Atlantic Sea Farms is a brand with a robust social and environmental mission and ambitious growth goals. The Sales & Partner Growth Representative for Retail will be responsible for building sales and distribution for Atlantic Sea Farms retail product lines including new market growth, in store sales support, and vendor relationship management. This position will report directly to the Sales Director and work closely with the Sales & Marketing Coordinator to define goals, targets, and will be responsible for developing and significantly growing our retail sales and distribution network. This position will require a great deal of problem-solving, data management, relationship building, and a commitment to forging category growth for first-to-market products. Fresh, domestic kelp is a fairly new product to the retail market in the United States and we are looking for a talented, committed, and energized individual ready to elevate our consumer packaged good lines.

This is a full-time, in person, year-round position based in Biddeford, ME.

The Retail Sales & Partner Growth Representative will be responsible for thoroughly understanding and championing ASF’s social and environmental missions, products, and creating awareness and scalable proofs of concept for retail sales and expansion.

Essential Duties:

  • Identify key targets and execute new and ongoing sales outreach as informed by ASF sales goals
  • Set up and manage distributor relationships, logistics and administrative requirements
  • Create, support, and grow important strategic partnerships with key retailers
  • Manage and stay in regular and strategic contact with distribution partners, brokers, street reps, and store team leaders
  • Execute product pitches, fully secure new product placements, close deals, and execute onboarding
  • Pull, analyze and report on sales data and trends in order to better inform sales strategy
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work with the Sales Director to inform inventory needs and projections
  • Work with the Director of Quality Assurance on food safety communication when needed
  • Support and collaborate with overall sales team effort
  • Travel for meetings, trade shows, events, and key opportunities and obligations (at least 30% (or as needed) of time expected to be on the road)
  • Collaborate effectively with all teams across the vertically integrated company to ensure a high-performing, high-morale workplace

  • Must possess a working knowledge of the natural food space, food trends, trade opportunities. Experience in retail sales is highly desirable.
  • Excellent computer and CMS/CRM skills
  • Has positive and current relationships with retailers, buyers, and distributors
  • Ability to think and act independently without extensive oversight
  • Proven problem-solving ability and self-starting mindset. Positive, can-do attitude
  • Able to manage top level partnerships
  • Able to thoroughly manage administrative needs connected to sales success
  • Excited to travel and create in person sales opportunities, spending 30%+ of time on the road


At least 3 years of relevant experience in the natural foods industry.


This position would be paid an annual base salary (based on experience 55-65k), have access to the company’s health benefits package, paid vacation, and a bonus structure based on individual and team performance.
